REVIEW

After reading this, I sat there for a while, wondering what I was going to do with my life. Colleen is so good at sucking you in and keeping you exactly where she wants you. She really did that with this book, as she did with Ugly Love. However, this book was a little different. It reminded me of Maybe Someday, how she worked with a singer and had his music to go with the book. Well, this book had painting to go with it. I didn't get to see the paintings until I went to the store and bought the book and I must say, after seeing them, I was stunned. I am an artist myself and have never had anything remotely as good as Owen's painting. And Confess is really a painting itself; it is a masterpiece that I wanted more of every page.

Autumn was a great character and relatable in a lot of ways. I was disappointed when her "big confession" came because I was expecting something huge but it was really something I had guessed previous to the big reveal. Nonetheless, I still fell in love with this book from percent 17. I was reading this on kindle and that is when it really became interesting to me. Anyway, Autumn. She was a fun character and was also very sad. No, she wasn't sad, but it was very sad, her story. Right from page one, I expected sadness. I mean, come on, it's Colleen Hoover.

Owen. OMG, I fell in love with the artist from the beginning. I've never been one for the artists but this book has changed my mind. He was super cute (in my mind) and he was a great happiness to my life. He wasn't one of those characters that say "I don't deserve her". That is what stuck with me most. His confessions (his own) where actually hard for me to figure out and that's why I liked him so much. He was a walking mystery and that was so hard for me to get because you got to see things from his point of view.

However, I must say, there are a few things that bothered me. Lydia drove me nuts but there always needs to be that character in a book right? And Trey... ugh. I'm not going to say a lot because I don't want to spoil anything, but give it a read, you'll probably love it if you like Colleen Hoover.

All in all, I must say: I loved it. It is heartbreaking, happiness, sadness, anger, and love all wrapped up in an amazing Colleen Hoover book. Like I've said, I didn't expect any less from this amazing author.
